Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Here's mine from a novel just finished:
You should stop squirming and struggling. Finding yourself confronted by an unpleasant fact...you're like a woman who conceals a stain on a table-cover by putting an ash-tray. Ineffectual, because someone is sure to move the ash-tray. (64)
First Chapter-First Paragraph Tuesday Intros is a weekly meme hosted by Bibliophile By the Sea where we share the first paragraph of our current read.
Here's mine:
Above all, I have a score to settle. I forget nothing, forgive no one.

LOL @ the teaser.
ReplyDeleteWoolf at his acerbic best. :)
DeleteI liked the cover of THE LAST LABYRINTH by Arun Joshi. I didn't know about this book until now.
ReplyDeleteYes, those intertwined figures make it arresting. It is the first time I am reading Arun Joshi. The story so far is interesting. Have you read anything of his? Have heard that 'The Curious Case of Billy Biswas' is pretty good.
DeleteNeer, I am guilty of not reading as much Indian fiction as I should. Rushdie remains a favourite.
DeleteNo fear Prashant, I too am not very fond of ILE. Haven't read any Rushdie except for Midnight's Children. Vikram Seth, Mulk Raj Anand, and Amitav Ghosh are my favourites.
DeleteLove the cover; love the intro - thanks for joining us this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the meme, Diane.
DeleteGreat cover and the tease is certainly interesting! Mine is from Capital Bride which I just finished. Come on by SnifferWalk Books and see it!

Some Buried Caesar is definitely gripping. The other book too is interesting so far.
DeleteThanks for visiting.
